Redemptive Withdrawal: Satan, Not God, Is The Single Cause Of All Fire And/Or Brimstone Destruction

For the Son of Man is not come to DESTROY men’s lives, but to save them. Luke 9:56. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, KILL, and to DESTROY. I am come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10.

Satan, never God, is the source of ALL death and destruction. Satan is always the destroyer and killer. God never kills! He only raises the dead to life, rebuilding and renewing them.

Satan kills. God gives life. All negative forces in the universe come from Satan. All positive forces in the universe come from God. God is good. Satan is evil. God is love. Satan is anger, fury, wrath and hate. Love is God. Wrath, hate and murder are sins. God is not sin! But God allows Satan to bring sin, anger, hate and wrath against man but always for a redemptive purpose. He allowed this at the cross of Calvary.

Through the principle of the cross, God destroys evil by dying, by self-sacrificial love. . . . “that thru (Jesus’) death, He (Jesus) might DESTROY him (Satan) that had the power of DEATH, that is, devil.” Heb 2:14. The angel of the bottomless pit was named “Apollyon” which means “the destroyer.” Rev 9:-11. It was this “destroyer” that brought all the plagues, curses and murders of children against Egypt and then the Israelites in the wilderness. See Ex 12:23 and 1 Cor 10:6-11 @v10. See also Ps 78:49. Satan is the anger, fury and wrath “of God.” God allowed it and took the blame for it.

In Luke 9:51-56, James and John wanted to call down the “fire of God from heaven and consume” their opponents “as Elijah did” in 2 Kings 1. Jesus rebukes them for this and says, “Ye know not what manner of (evil) spirit ye are of!” This shows us that it was really an evil spirit that was the inspiration and cause of “the fire from God” that Elijah called down and that was inspiring James and John to do the same in Luke 9. It looks like God did it if you read the Old Testament passage without the revelation of Jesus in Luke 9:51-56 old KJV only. The modern versions leave out crucial words in Luke 9:55-56. Satan did not want you to read those words, “like Elias did” and “ye know not what spirit ye are of.”

In Job 1, Satan called down “the fire of God from heaven” and consumed Job’s sheep and his servants. Job 1:16. God took the blame for this from Job and his three friends. Job believed that it was God that did this to him and God never told Job otherwise. God never revealed to Job in the book of Job who the real culprit was behind these murders and destructive acts. God still today takes the blame for Satan as 99 percent of Christianity thinks it is God who kills and destroys.

Take Gen 18 and 19 for example at Sodom and Gomorrah. This is just another example of God withdrawing and giving an evil people over to a satanic destruction, a catastrophe which resulted from the sin in which these wicked people persisted, wanted and would not repent of. But God allowed Satan to do it for a redemptive purpose: to free Lot and his family and cleanse the earth of wicked sin.

But notice the detail in these chapters. It was actually two angels that God allowed to bring this calamity upon Sodom and Gomorrah. The word “we” in “we will destroy this place” in Gen 19:13 is a reference to these two angels, not to God. And notice God had obviously placed a limit on these angels. In Gen 19:22, one of the angels announces, “I cannot do anything till thou (Lot and his family) be come hither.” These fallen angels were chomping at the bit to do what they and Satan are always bent on doing, killing and destroying by bringing down upon humans “the fire of God from heaven.” But God had told these angels that they could not do it until Lot and his family were removed to safety. Same old story. God here takes the blame for what Satan actually does and allows the destruction to take place for a redemptively good purpose: to cleanse, purify, purge, prune and sift away the fleshly evil, thereby freeing His people from bondage to sin and evil. This is always done in the principle of the cross, redemptive withdrawal.

In God’s redemptive withdrawal, Satan destroys himself and his kingdom with his own violence, as in his violence against Jesus at the cross. Heb 2:14. Satan divided his own house against itself and cast Himself out at Calvary. Mark 3:23-27; John 12:31. God never directly destroys evil or any person with direct violence. He always allows evil to destroy itself. God kills evil by dying. Heb 2:14. He overcomes evil with good. Rom 12:21. If Satan had known this he would never have crucified the Lord of Glory. 1 Cor 2:6-8. This is a key which solves a great mystery. Who was the real murderer throughout scripture and history? Like an Alfred Hitchcock movie, there is a shocking ironic twist at the end of the story. Satan, not God, is the only murderer over the entire course of history. John 8:44.

God suffers with humanity as they go thru these destructive acts committed by Satan. Luke 19:41-44; John 11:35-36.

God would not have allowed Satan to do this to Sodom and Gomorrah if there had only been ten true believers left in Sodom and Gomorrah. Gen 18:32. Lot and his family obviously did not number ten or more. So God let Satan come in a do what he will always do: steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10.

For thousands of years Satan has deceived millions of preachers, teachers, evangelists and “Christians” to believe that God is a murderer of women, children and nursing infants as a genocidal bipolar schizophrenic Hitler-like destructive maniac. These millions are unknowingly deceived and actually worshipping Satan. This is Satan’s great deception. Only thru the principle of the cross and its doctrine of redemptive withdrawal do we finally discover who the real perpetrator is!

Jesus came to disclose the long kept secret of who and what His Father in Heaven really is and what He is actually like. John 1:18. See the entire book of Gospel of John wherein Jesus, over and over, tries to convince the Jewish religionists and legalists of the unconditionally loving character of His Father. He told them that their father was the devil. John 8:44.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and NO MAN KNOWETH who the Son is, but the Father; and WHO THE FATHER IS BUT THE SON, AND HE TO WHOM THE SON WILL REVEAL HIM. And He turned him into his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: for I tell you, that many prophets have desired to see those things which ye see the things which ye see and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Have your eyes and ears been opened enough to see and hear the true character of our loving Father in Heaven? God is love! Only God is good! Only Satan steals, kills and destroys. Praise God!
